Complex Needs Unit
We also manage a 38-bed complex needs unit at Summerhill near the city centre in Birmingham.
It consists of cluster flats and a number of self-contained units. Fully furnished it has a lift, gardens, car park and 24-hour staffing. It can house a range of people with complex needs.
Summerhill provides accommodation for rough sleepers and works closely with the rough sleeper’s initiative in Birmingham.
During the current pandemic Summerhill is working with the Birmingham’s Adult Care Team to house hospital discharges. It is part of the cities Protect Programme and can house several people with Covid-19, as well as those self-isolating.
Referrals are through the staff at Summerhill.
Care & Support
We provide support to all residents in line with their own guidance. In addition, residents have as much care and support as they need from BCC and other sources. The service is managed in partnership with Birmingham City Council.
